Much sought after singer James Hudson, opened our Autumn Jazz Cabaret season at Piano Smithfield with his highly regarded and regularly sold out evening featuring the music of the all time American great Nat King Cole.
Tonight he makes a welcome return, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, on this occasion capturing the wonderful catalogue of swinging songs from eras of great Broadway shows
Expect to hear gems including “On The Street Where You Live” from My Fair Lady: “I Get A Kick Out Of You” from Anything Goes: “I’ve Never Been In Love Before” from Guys & Dolls: the everlasting George Gershwin classic “I’ve Got Rhythm” and many more jazz inspired songs from great Broadway shows
James released his debut album ‘TOMORROW’ earlier this year to great acclaim. The album was described as “polished and exuberant” by London Jazz News and was Featured as ‘Album of the Week’ on Jazz FM. He has performed to sold-out crowds at Crazy Coqs, Ronnie Scotts’ Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club Dean St, Hôtel de Paris, (Monte Carlo), London’s Ritz Hotel and other top venues across the UK & Europe.
