Nikolaj ‘The Champ’ Hess is a Denmark/New York-based piano player, composer, producer and arranger whose virtuoso piano playing can be heard on more than 100 albums. His latest trio album featuring Kenny Wollesen & Tony Scherr on drums and bass has received international critical acclaim and was hailed by Politiken as #1 jazz record in Denmark in 2013. Nikolaj has written music for movies (Lars Von Triers “Melancholia” and Juliane Fezer’s ‘Meeres Stille’) and has played with Lee Konitz, Benny Golson, Hess Is More, Global Motion, Fela Kuti and many others.;www.nikolajhess.com;Anders ’AC’ Christensen is “the ace of bass”. He plays with the Raveonettes, Paul Motian Electric Bebop Band, Tomasz Stanko’s Quintet & psychedelic rock group Savage Rose.
