Groove Baby returns with another exciting and entertaining show especially for 3 – 7 year olds and their grown-ups!
Created especially for families with small children, this programme is a pleasing mix of storytelling, interactive music-making and movement (for the little ones) with outstanding ocieanic jazz, aquatic soul and fish funk (for everyone).
Get into your scuba gear and get ready to dive deep, sing, dance, play along and feed your need to hear top music all at the same time. Creatively designed to be a midpoint between kid shows and adult concerts this show has something for everyone (in the seven seas).
The Groove Baby Organ Trio are a searing rhythm machine featuring Laurence Corns on guitar, Cameron Reynolds on Hammond organ and Chris Nickolls on drums. The GBO3 return to the EFG Jazz Festival after sell-out shows in 2015, 16 and 17 which saw the young and not-so-young shaking their stuff.
’They will get your kids up and dance them so hard they fall asleep straight after! Do go along…’ – James Whitmee (audience member)
The trio’s lyrical, funky compositions are inspired by the funk greats such as James Brown, Funkadelic and Sly Stone, and Blue Note legends Grant Green, Lonnie Smith and Jimmy Smith.
Groove Baby present jazz, world and contemporary music concerts. Designed for parents and carers with babies/toddlers, they have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which singing, dancing, crying and playing along are all welcome.
