We welcome back ‘Charlie Parker On Dial’ – a tribute to jazz genius Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker, written and arranged by Alex Webb (creator of Cafe Society Swing), with vocalist Camilla Beeput who recently portrayed jazz singer Gloria Dee in the TV series Grantchester.

Charlie Parker On Dial focuses on just two years of Bird’s hectic life – the period he recorded with Ross Russell’s Dial label, producing classics such as Ornithology, Night in Tunisia, Relaxin’ at Camarillo, Scrapple From The Apple and Klacto-veeseds-tene – and revolutionising 1940s jazz in the process.

Featuring a band of top-notch musicians led by Nathaniel Facey (alto sax), with Freddie Gavita (trumpet), Aliocha Thevenet (guitar), Shaney Forbes (drums), Alex Davis (bass) and Alex Webb (piano). Making a special guest appearance is vocalist Camilla Beeput, who recently portrayed jazz singer Gloria Dee in the TV series Grantchester and has also appeared in Peep Show, Doctors and Lunch Monkeys.
