Singer/violinist Azhaar Saffar received recognition with internationally acclaimed Brazilian jazz group Sirius B, in the mid-2000’s. She has worked with some of the crème of British jazz: Jason Rebello, Ian Ballamy, Gareth Lockrane whose magic flute appears on the new album and Latin jazz DJ/Congeiro “Snowboy” who produced the title track!

A self-confessed nomad of Iraqi/Welsh origins, she recently emerged from the jungles and oceans of Latin America with the songs for her new album and formed Global Wave. With a fantastic international line-up, Global Wave takes us on a voyage that redefines the musical boundaries: a vibrant, irreverent fusion of world rhythms, funk and jazz enhanced by Azhaar’s glorious violin!
