The Spice of Life
Spice of Life is truly a thriving Jazz venue full of charm that has attracted many top artists from around the world and some of UK’s best. Many top musicians such as Jamie Cullum, Soweto Kinch, Darius Brunbeck and Daryl Sherman and more.
Retaining it’s historical traditional charm, it is thought that there has been a tavern on site of Spice of Life since the year 1750. Much later, in the 1960’s and 1970’s it was named The Scots Hoose, and was a popular venue for many well known folk musicians, some of them as Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, and many more. Soon after the club had attracted to the popular times of Punk music and bands such as The Sex Pistols that had performed there.
In the late 90s the charming and thriving Spice of Life had transformed into a renowned and well known Jazz club that has certainly earned its reputation listed as one of London’s hot spots for jazz.
