Every note of Miles Davis and Gil Evans’ seminal big-band album, Miles Ahead, has been lyricised by that master of vocalese Jon Hendricks (of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross). Jazz choir London Vocal Project, students and alumni from the various jazz courses at London’s conservatoires, and special guests, present the UK premiere of this outstanding work, which has been 50 years in the making.
