We’re paying homage to ‘The High Priestess of Soul’, Nina Simone. Acclaimed jazz vocalist Judi Jackson will return to Jazz Cafe to perform a selection of Nina’s compositions live with a gospel choir.

Across her 44 year career, Simone became one of America’s most prolific and influential composers.

American-born multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Judi Jackson, has released music with Snarky Puppy, performed alongside Mavis Staples and recorded live sessions with Jazz FM. By revisiting Nina’s compositions, Judi aims to explore how these songs have influenced her life and career so far.
