Event Details

Jazz Plus big summer blowout at Redon in Bethnal Green… We’re taking a couple of months holiday after this so we’re going to go out with a bang. This time we’ve got Somewhere Soul on board, presenting:

??? Antelope ???

The 8 legged Antelope play alt-jazz pop. Their music defies
generic classification; having learnt a vocabulary from the music they love, Antelope now speak a language of their own.

Antelope’s balance of ear-worm hooks with forward thinking harmony and rhythm, all within a catchy pop form, has taken them to many key UK venues. Formed in Birmingham in 2013, Antelope features some of the city’s top up and coming musicians, led by composer Dorian Childs-Prophet.

“Antelope are everything that’s right with [Birmingham’s]
current slew of tasty crossover artists.”
– Lyle Bignon [The 405]

“With hypnotizing vocals, smooth horn melodies, jazzy
rhythms, and grooves you can’t shake loose, Antelope are a
band quite unlike any other in our city today.”
– Jessica Goodman [Counteract Magazine]
