Jan Harbeck was born in Aarhus Denmark in 1975. He graduated in 1998 with a Masters in saxophone from The Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, and in 1999 from the New School/Mannes College of Music, New York. His quartet received a Danish Music Award for ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ for their first album ‘In the Still of the Night’ in 2008. Since then, their albums have been amongst the very best selling jazz records in Denmark and are distributed widely around the world.;www.janharbeck.com
