BBC Jazz Award-winning vocalist Ian Shaw has 15 highly acclaimed albums to his name and is known as one of the jazz world’s finest interpreters of the popular song form.
‘Shine Sister Shine’, Shaw’s current studio album, is a celebration of the actions and art of extraordinary women. Moved by recent world events and the subsequent rallying of millions of women, Shaw has penned new songs including a co-write with Tanita Tikaram on the title track, alongside new arrangements of works by Alicia Keyes, Peggy Lee and Joni Mitchell.
