An outstanding pianist and composer, Geoff Eales’ career has covered just about every base in music from composing classical works including a symphony and a concerto, to 20 years as the pianist for the BBC Big Band, via free improvisation and jazz fusion.
His range is astonishing and he brings such finesse to every endeavour that he’s worked alongside the world’s leading musicians including Leonard Bernstein, Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith, Lalo Schifrin, Shirley Bassey, Jose Carreras, Kiri Te Kanawa, Lesley Garrett and Michael Ball.
In the last 15 years he’s returned to his first inspiration — jazz — and has released over a dozen highly-acclaimed CDs with different line-ups. His touring itinerary has taken him from Los Angeles and New York to Tokyo, Belgrade, and many other corners of the globe. Tonight, it’s Colindale… and we’re very honoured to welcome Geoff for his debut appearance at Chandos Arms Jazz.
