The Award Winning Ezra Collective are among the brightest shining stars exploding on the British Jazz scene at the moment with their heady mix of Afrobeat, jazz and hip hop earning them critical acclaim and a packed festival diary this year that has seen them perform at Love Supreme, Glastonbury, Boomtown, Brainchild and Festival In The Forest as well as securing radio play and plaudits from Gilles Peterson among others. Formed four years ago as a group of teenagers who met through the Jazz Development organisation ‘Tomorrows Warriors’ they have gone from strength to strength building their well earned reputation as a seminal live force and also touring with world-renowned rapper Pharoahe Monch. Be prepared for a Fela Kuti inspired cocktail of virtuosic musicianship and beats and grooves to make you dance! Their debut EP, ‘Chapter 7’, was released earlier this year and features a guest appearance from MOBO-winning singer Zara McFarlane.
