We are delighted that the EFG London Jazz Festival will host the BBC Young Jazz Musician 2018 Final.

A thrilling live conclusion to this year’s BBC Young Jazz Musician competition, showcasing the most talented young jazz musicians in the UK. The five young finalists will each play a set – with the music ranging from standards to brand new tunes written or arranged by the finalists themselves.

At the end of the evening, the internationally-renowned jury will decide who will become BBC Young Jazz Musician 2018. The winner in 2016, trumpet / flugel player Alexandra Ridout will return to play a set while the jury are making the decision. This event will be recorded for broadcast on BBC television and radio.
