Basement Tapes ft. Giacomo Smith

Every Wednesday at Kansas Smitty’s, the ‘Basement Tapes’ mix and match members of the Kansas Smitty’s House Band with musicians from around London and further afield to create once-in-a-lifetime intimate concerts.

Giacomo’s joined tonight by a two guitarists steeped in the gypsy swing style. From Norway, Stian Vagen Nilsen, and london based but with Persian and Irish heritage Kourosh Kanani. This combination will easily bring new vitality to the sound of the old master himself of Django Reinhardt.

These nights are centred around originality. Expect to see new material written and rehearsed at the bar that week by groups curated specifically for the night.

Doors at 8pm, show 8.30 to 10.30 with an intermission.
