Ashley Henry is a London based Jazz pianist and composer. Since graduating from the BRIT School in 2008, he has toured the UK and performed alongside many bands and ensembles, appearing in renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Cafe, Indigo2, Steinway Hall, and has recently performed at the Chopin international Festival in Warsaw. Ashley has also performed live on Radio for BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London as well as doing the 2014 BBC Late night proms at the Elgar room in the Royal Albert Hall and the 2015 Manchester Jazz Festival with his trio which was broadcasted on BBC Radio 3. Ashley was the youngest on the bill for the 2015 International piano trio festival, which was held at Ronnie Scott’s where he performed alongside the likes of Gerald Clayton and Robert Glasper.

Ashley is one of the 2014/2015 Yamaha Jazz Scholars, an award given to the best musician graduating from each music college. The award was presented to him at the House of Commons in the summer of 2014

Recently, Ashley has been performing regularly with some of the UK’s leading jazz musicians such as Gary Crosby, Jean Toussaint, Shane Forbes, and award-winning Saxophonist Krzysztof Urbanski, as well as leading his own trio and quartet. As well as performing, Ashley has also recorded extensively with award- winning Hip- Hop Group “The Mouse Outfit” who are a collective of musicians and producers based in Manchester.
