Band leader Michel Pinheiro, a ‘disciple’ of the legendary Ivory Coast guitarist Mamadou Doumbia, plays trombone and carries the vocal duties (singing in French, English, Spanish and the African dialects of Yoruba, Fon, and Dioula) as he explores the influences of voodoo cults, western music, Nigerian drums and the addition of Cuban piano and brass that have all contributed to the great salsa sound.
Michel Pinheiro (Benin) lead vocal & trombone, Patrick Bebey (Cameroon) piano, Jean-Richard Codjia (Benin) congas, John Paul Melindji (Ivory Coast) and Low Kelly Koto (Congo) drums, Florent Brick (France) trumpet, Alexis Bourguignon ( La France) trumpet.
